We Did It!

Well, our Kickstarter is over and we made it!

This picture pretty much sums up our feelings about the whole experience.

On a serious note though, we can’t thank you all enough for your support in our 2014 Kickstarter. Seeing the level of excitement and positivity about SuperByte is truly humbling and we’re stoked to be running into our third year and presenting you with another awesome festival. SuperByte is run and funded from ticket and merch sales, and the pockets of two guys and without your support in these early stages, there’s no way the festival would be able to happen.

We’ll continue to post updates regarding the Kickstarter rewards as they occur, and regular weekend tickets will be available for sale in the next few days. Again, thank you so much to everyone who’s pledged, shared and supported us so far. Now to start getting hyped for the festival!

The 2014 Kickstarter is Live

Now we’ve confirmed a venue for SuperByte 2014, our Kickstarter is go!

As in 2013, we’re funding SuperByte entirely through ticket & merch sales, and our Kickstarter project which we’re using to get the initial costs for the festival. We’re hoping the third edition of SuperByte is the one that solidifies it as a sustainable annual event, so your help, pledges, support and sharing of our Kickstarter is greatly appreciated.

You can score early bird tickets, exclusive merchandise, download albums and much more by pledging here.

New Venue

Many of you will know that our former home, Jabez Clegg, closed it’s doors for good shortly after we’d booked it for our 2014 edition. It’s a huge pleasure (and relief) to confirm that SuperByte 2014 has a new venue.

We’ll be hosting the main part of SuperByte 2014 in The Zoo, one of Manchester’s finest underground music venues. The Zoo is an amazing and flexible space and one that we’ve used on numerous occasions for our own club nights and live events.

Because The Zoo has one room and is a club attached to a pub, the set up of SuperByte will be a little bit different this year. The Zoo will house the main event and live music, while there are two pubs next door which are perfect for relaxing, getting some food or taking a break. We’ll also be hiring a separate space in the area of The Zoo for our daytime activities, main retro gaming space, market and workshops.

We still have a few things to confirm in terms of venues for peripheral activities, but this news was too good not to share. Sorry it took so long – it was touch and go for a while.

Artist Announcements Are Coming

Over the past few weeks we’ve been busy behind the scenes working on the main stage line up for SuperByte 2014. As you can imagine, it’s no easy task to match 2013’s fantastic range of artists and performers but we’ve already confirmed some amazing names and we’re confident you’re going to love them. Once again, we’ll be presenting an eclectic mix of music and visual styles, technology and artists from around the world on our main stage.

We’ll be announcing artists via this website and our social media accounts from Friday November 1st; one every Friday night at 20:14 UK time.

We’ll also be launching our 2014 Kickstarter in December. Once again you’ll be able to score advance early bird tickets, exclusive merchandise and other perks. Details coming soon!

SuperByte 2014 is go

It barely feels like a week since the sheer awesome that was SuperByte 2013, yet here we are looking forward to our next edition. 2013 saw the festival expand from a one day event to three days, as well as enlisting the help of new friends including CalmDownKidder, The Retro Computer Museum and Jabez Clegg among others.

SuperByte 2014’s main event will take place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September 2014 at Jabez Clegg in Manchester. There’ll be pre and post party announcements, and we’ll also be launching our Kickstarter fund where you’ll be able to score discounted advance tickets, limited edition merchandise and much more.

Artist and other announcements will be starting on 1st November.

Time to start counting down.
